Today marks the first day of this website and also the very first article to be written… so with out further adieu

Wireless Console Headsets!

Now we all know how valuable headsets are when playing online. Well at least most people do. They help especially in war games to help people strategise and also to warn people of incoming enemy attacks. Headsets have been used for YEARS in pc gaming, but ever since the revolution that was the next-gen consoles more and more people have been using them in conjunction with their nice’n’shiny new consoles. Now for the PS3 the option is simple you can use nearly any bluetooth headset because the PS3 naively supports bluetooth. Fair enough job done, but then there’s the fact of which one should i buy? which one was made with games comfort in mind? and also which ones can be used in both, left and right ears or just my left or right? These are some key factors oh and before i forget, there’s another HUGE factor… PRICE! you’ve just spend probably hundreds of £ or $, depending on where you’re from, on a nice new console and you don’t want to spend loads on a new accessory as well as games to play on the console. Don’t worry all of you xbox fans i haven’t forgotten about you. Now with the xbox there’s one other slight problem. This is the fact that the xbox doesn’t support bluetooth naively which makes it more difficult to find a wireless one. Because the xbox doesn’t support bluetooth this means that the headset will have to transmit to a receiver which connects to the remote. This is fine for most people because it beats connecting the wire straight to the controller.

Which one?

Here at Console Stuff Ive gone and done the dirty work for you, and gone through the best and worst headsets and brought to you a small review on which ones i feel are the best out there!
For PS3 users you can decide not to read this article if you already have a normal bluetooth headset for a mobile phone, or you can read on and buy a nice new gaming one which will give you more comfort and better quality for games.
Now there are 2 main headsets which i would use. The first and in my opinion the best headset is the Gioteck EX-01 Bluetooth Headset for PS3
this has all of the features the other two have plus its designed to be more comfortable and has an adjustable mic so you can move it towards or away from your cheek. The second headset i would suggest is the Madcatz PS3 Bluetooth Headset (PlayStation 3) Version 2.0 this one can be worn comfortably in either ear so if its this feature your looking for go for this headset, otherwise the first is the better choice. Both headsets have a range of up to 30ft and also have a noise reducing and echo eliminating mic. Both headsets cost £24.98 which is less than you’d pay in a gaming store.

Now for the xbox console owners out there. Basically the only headset i would recommend for the xbox 360 is this one Xbox 360 Wireless Headset (Xbox 360) it is small and lightweight and stylish, the battery also lasts 8 hours each charge and the range is up to 30ft. This headset is also compatible with voice commands for use with some games. This headsets come in at £30 which could be a tad expensive but well worth it if you are a serious gamer and love the be fully immersed into your games.
